About us
The first brand of handmade watercolors born in Sicily — where the colors seem to come from an infinite palette.
The Concept
Color is not a finish. It is a design material.
For a long time, color was considered the final phase of a project: an aesthetic choice, a finish, a surface. Tìngiri Handmade Colors was born from the opposite perspective: to restore color to its role as a design material, recognizing its origin, composition, and cultural value.

Painting is not just a gesture. It is a return to the roots.
Tingiri was born in Sicily, amidst intense light, salty wind, and colors that seem to have emerged from an infinite palette. After years of study, testing, errors, blended pigments, and stubborn dreams, we created handmade watercolors designed for those who feel the need to truly express themselves.
In Sicilian, "Tingiri" means to paint. For us, it means much more: it means slowing down, observing, and feeling.
Each color is made by hand, with care and passion, one by one. We don't produce simple watercolors. We create tools to tell stories and emotions.
If you also feel the call of color, welcome to the Tingiri world.
Why Sicily
Sicily is not just a place. It is one of the greatest chromatic archives of the Mediterranean.
Sicily is adopted not as an aesthetic theme, but as a laboratory of materials, geologies, and chromatic traditions to be reinterpreted through design.
Tìngiri Handmade Colors is an ever-evolving chromatic archive dedicated to the study, design, and dissemination of the identity colors of Sicily.

Natural pigments, colors with a history
Every Tingiri watercolor is born from hand-selected pigments — minerals, earths, and materials of the Mediterranean transformed into artisanal color.

The Manifesto
The six principles of Tìngiri Handmade Colors
Color is matter.
Even before being perception, color is a material with a history, an origin, and a composition.
Color is territory.
Every pigment tells a story of a landscape, a geology, a production tradition, and a culture.
Color is design.
Materials, packaging, containers, visual identity, and communication constitute a single design system.
Color is memory.
Recovering natural pigments means preserving knowledge, techniques, and material heritages destined to disappear.
Color is future.
Research into traditional materials can generate new forms of contemporary design.
Color is experience.
The project is completed in the encounter between matter, gesture, and user, transforming color into a tool of knowledge and connection.
